Firehouse Theater Project’s mission is to promote contemporary American theater. Willie Loman’s mission is to leave a legacy and be liked. Both achieved their missions in this performance.
First of all, there are some truly sensational performances on display here. Second of all, the play itself is a mishmash, a conglomeration of organs in search of an organism.
Drumming with Dishes is a delightful story of a girl and her “imaginary friend” who get to know each other through kitchen cookware, a guitar, and pasta.
A weak script and pacing problems of A Magical Christmas made it hard to believe in Believe, Maine.
This was overall a very solid, and at times outstanding, initial offering from this new company, and it will be even more exciting to see what they are able to do as they grow.
This production had many good details combined with some overlooked details that made for a decent, but not spectacular, production.
Adventure Theatre MTC’s A Little House Christmas was a delightful story looking at a simpler, more challenging, and still happier time. Treat yourself and your children to this show this Christmas season.
Potomac Theatre Company’s My Fair Lady had a few technical issues in this performance, but there was still magic in the actor’s performance.
The entire staff should be proud of this production of The Producers. Catch it before you have to pay a lot more to see Marks and Wichmann on Broadway.
The title of the final number, “Less Is More” however, really summed it up. Sometimes, keeping a show simple can leave the audience wanting more.
